Bristol Wood Recycling Project
Welcome to Bristol Wood Recycling Project.
Our name gives away a bit of what we do. But not very much. We are many things:
"Since 2004...a timber merchant. An ecological waste wood management company. A community enterprise. A wood workshop. A self financing social enterprise. A salvage and reclamation yard of wood. A home-grown business that has sprung out of derelict land. A unique specimen in an increasingly homogenised world."

BWRP News Winter 2012/13
BWRP Staff Update- As of January 2013, Justin has joined our team as the new Site Manager. We are looking forward to him stamping his own brand of style and finesse onto the BWRP! On the Workshop front, we have decided to make Neil Ferguson our permanent Workshop Manager, along with Celi the Workshop Assistant, who has been given a permanent contract as well.
BWRP is now in its 9th year of operation as a self-funded wood waste reclamation & recycling project. We held an open day on 9th June for our 8th anniversary, that was also a part of the Bristol big green week fringe.
The Bristol £Pound launched on 19 September, a local not-for-profit initiative that seeks to benefit Bristolians by keeping Bristol's money...in Bristol. We at BWRP have signed up to be a Bristol Pound trader, and once we have sorted a few admin glitches we'll be happy to take your £Bristol Pounds!
With winter now in full swing, we have improved our stock & supply of Firewood. We also offer a bulk delivery service in partnership with Elcombe Firewood, our chosen supplier. Full details are on the Woodshop page.
What have we got for you at our site?
Well quite a lot frankly - whether you are a small trader, DIY enthusiast, gardener, artist, environmentalist, or just a good old wood lover...then you'll find something here to tickle your fancy. Wood for gardens, timber for small building jobs, logs & charcoal for evening fires & BBQ's, shelves, doors, a selection of furniture, and whatever else thats wood-based that we can reclaim from landfill & waste. Plus - it's cheap, priced for these recessionary times, get down to BWRP and put a smile on your face. We are Bristol's ethical choice for trade & DIY timber and related items.
Meanwhile our Workshop technicians are producing a number of items ideal for gardens and terraces made from reclaimed wood, including: benches and tables, raised beds, planters, trellis, stools, window cill boxes, bird boxes, and tealight candle holders. They make items for inside your home too - see our Workshop page for more details,.
BWRP's Wood Waste Collection Service
We offer a collection service to commercial and domestic customers that is cheaper than most skips, and we even load up your wood waste ourselves. Our minimum charge is £48.00 plus VAT for upto 3 cubic yards of wood waste, and we'll take upto 16 cubic yards at £16.00 per cubic yard - but we only take wood! To book a single collection or to negoitate an ongoing contract contact our Collections Manager.
Drop-offs in the yard - we only accept drop-offs of wood, sheet materials & furniture if it's in good condition and we can re-use it. Wood must be at least 1M length, denailed and sound/sheets must be at least 1.2 x 1.2M or 2.4 x 0.6M. We regret we cannot accept unusable wood waste drop-offs in the yard, as it costs us to deal with it.
A little film about us...
Ever wondered what we're all about? Our friends from Suited and Booted CIC helped us make this film about, well, us! We also had some help from the Social Enterprise Mark. Check it out!
