Bristol Wood Recycling Project

Welcome to Bristol Wood Recycling Project.

Our name gives away a bit of what we do. But not very much. We are many things:
"Since 2004...a timber merchant. An ecological waste wood management company. A community enterprise. A wood workshop. A self financing social enterprise. A salvage and reclamation yard of wood. A home-grown business that has sprung out of derelict land. A unique specimen in an increasingly homogenised world."

Opening Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm
Wednesday from 11.00am to 5.00pm
Saturday from 10.00am to 4.00pm
Payment in the yard/shop is by cash or credit/debit card only (50p fee). We can also take payments by card over the phone for some timber and workshop products.

BWRP's Wood Waste Collection Service
We offer a collection service to commercial and domestic customers that is cheaper than most skips, and we even load up your wood waste ourselves. Our minimum charge is £54.00 incl VAT for upto 3 cubic yards of wood waste, and we'll take upto 16 cubic yards at £15.00 per cubic yard - but we only take wood! To book a single collection or to negoitate an ongoing contract contact our Collections Manager.
Drop-offs in the yard - we only accept drop-offs of wood, sheet materials & furniture if it's in good condition and we can re-use it. Wood must be at least 1M length, denailed and sound/sheets must be at least 1.2 x 1.2M or 2.4 x 0.6M. We regret we cannot accept unusable wood waste drop-offs in the yard, as it costs us to deal with it.

1 September 2011 - New BWRP Price List
Our first review of our prices since late 2008, taking into account increases in VAT and many other costs, and including improvements to our yard and service. We remain very affordable. More details on our 'Woodshop' page, or download our Price List Flyer (pdf).

The Wooden Eagle has landed!

Check out our Workshop page to see the quality furniture we can now offer, made from reclaimed wood. Or for more details download our Workshop Product Prices Info Sheet (pdf).

BWRP in the news last summer
3 September - article by a young student trainee reporter published in the Evening Post - the article focuses on our recycling service, and our work with volunteers. The same author also posted an article on Bristol Indymedia, which again quoted our staff. For the record, BWRP has now recycled over 1900 tons of wood since we began in 2004 - with your help of course!

28 July - with the announcement of the government backed 'enterprise zone' for the area behind Temple Meads, BWRP founder Ben Moss had the chance to speak to Tory PM David Cameron and local politicians & business partnerships. The zone covers land owned by BWRP's landlord, and Ben Moss was able to put forward BWRP's vision for the area. BBC Points West & the Evening Post both covered the story.

A little film about us...

Ever wondered what we're all about? Our friends from Suited and Booted CIC helped us make this film about, well, us! We also had some help from the Social Enterprise Mark. Check it out!
