Woodshop

Q: What are your opening hours?

A: We are open 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday and 10:00 - 16:00 on Saturday. We are closed on Sunday. Opening times

Q: Can I cut timber in the yard?

A: Yes. We can supply saw horses, handsaws, tape measures and pencils. Just ask in the yard.

Q: Do you offer delivery?

A: We are currently trialling a delivery service for timber and workshop orders. Please contact us for details.

Q: Can I reserve timber?

A: Yes, if it is paid for in full. Once paid for, we can store reserved items for two weeks.

Q: Do you sell reclaimed scaffold boards?

A: Yes. We tend to keep a good supply on site. We generally only sell full length boards (3.9m) for £17 but occasionally have offcut lengths at a fixed price per metre.

Q: Do you have pallets?

A: Yes. We generally keep a good stock of mixed quality pallets, large and small. They start at £1 each.

Q: Can I bring my waste timber to you?

A: No. We are a registered waste carrier, not a transfer site like the council's recycling centre. Everything we handle must be brought in on the back of one of our trucks. We sometimes make exceptions and accept drop-off of good quality wooden furniture but this is at the site manager's discretion. Call and talk to us if you have something to donate.

Workshop

Q: Do you offer delivery?

A: We are currently trialling a delivery service for timber and workshop orders. Please contact us for details.

Q: Do you provide a cutting service?

A: Yes, dependent on staff availability and the dimensions involved. Generally cutting orders can be completed by (or before) the following Saturday afternoon. Straightforward cutting jobs are charged at £5 set-up, plus £1 per cut (or per metre when ripping).

Q: Do you provide a planing service?

A: We have a planer thicknesser. Price and availability will depend on the timber and spec so best to give us a ring or come to the Workshop for a chat.

Q: Do you provide a fitting service?

A: No. All our products are made in our Workshop.

Q: What are the dimensions of a scaffold board?

A: Approximate measurements: Length 390cm x Width 22cm x Thickness 3.6cm. We are able to join boards to achieve a greater width

Q: Do you cut sheet materials?

A: Yes, we can cut ply and OSB in our workshop. Pricing is dependent on the material available and the spec required. We do not cut MDF/chipboard/certain laminated boards as they release carcinogenic particles upon cutting.

Collections

Q: Do you collect pallets?

A: Yes. We will collect as many pallets as we can sqeeze into our van for a fixed £100 + VAT.

Q: Do you deliver pallets?

A: Yes. Give us call and tell us what you're using them for and we'll find something suitable. We can get a van load to you for as little as £25.

Q: Do you collect any timber?

A: Yes, we collect any timber including chipboard, MDF and building site timber waste. However, all timber waste must be separated from any other waste. i.e. not mixed in with general, contaminated or hazardous waste. We cannot retrieve waste timber from skips. Read more

Q: How quickly can you make a collection?

A: We aim to get to you within 48 hours of collection confirmation. Our days are flexible and, depending on where in Bristol you are, could get there sooner.
